Dallas Mavericks shooting guard Wesley Matthews will play Sunday versus the Los Angeles Lakers, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's Dwain Price.
The 29-year-old didn't play Thursday against the Los Angeles Clippers - a precaution taken by head coach Rick Carlisle likely with Matthews' offseason Achilles surgery in mind.
Matthews will play with a minutes restriction as he works his way back into game shape.
The seven-year pro, who signed a max deal in July, played 26 minutes in the Mavs' season opener Wednesday, scoring nine points, cashing in two of his four 3-point attempts, and grabbing three boards.
