Warriors game stopped early due to unplayable conditions

SAN DIEGO - Jordan Clarkson scored 17 points and Julius Randle had 14 to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to an 85-70 win over the Golden State Warriors on Saturday night in a preseason game that was stopped late in the third quarter due to unplayable conditions on the court.

The game was called with 2:16 left in the third because of moisture spots caused by the ice below the court at the Valley View Casino Center.

Prior to the officials' decision to discontinue the game, Warriors guard Leandro Barbosa had slipped on the court.

"They felt that there was a possibility of players getting hurt," said Lakers coach Byron Scott, who added that both teams agreed that the game should be called off.

The arena is home this season to the San Diego Gulls hockey club, an affiliate of the NHL's Anaheim Ducks.

"One time we were running, I was holding my breath a little bit," Warriors interim coach Luke Walton told ESPN. "The players were aware of it, they were playing. (Andre Iguodala) told me at halftime he was playing a little bit on the cautious side just because he didn't want to risk anything, which we were obviously fine with."

Stephen Curry led all scorers with 19 points and had four assists.
