Oklahoma City Thunder forward Mitch McGary has been diagnosed with a concussion, a team spokesman told the Oklahoman's Anthony Slater.
The injury occurred in a collision with Matt Barnes of the Memphis Grizzlies during a preseason outing Friday evening,
McGary left the game in the opening half and didn't return, finishing with two points in five minutes of action off the bench.
He won't be allowed to return until he passes the NBA's mandated concussion protocol, with recovery time varying from player to player.
Selected 21st overall by Oklahoma City in 2014 out of Michigan, the 23-year-old big man averaged 6.3 points and 5.2 rebounds on 53.3 percent shooting in 32 games during his rookie campaign.
