Lamar Odom's condition continues to improve after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel on Tuesday.

The 35-year-old is reportedly "way, way better," and being more conversational since he started breathing on his own, a source told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne. This comes on the heels of reports Odom had his breathing tube removed Friday, although he still requires the aid of a breathing mask as he remains in a critical state.

Odom was found at the Love Ranch in Crystal, Nev., with blood and "white stuff" coming from his mouth and nose, according to a statement from the Nye County Sheriff's Office. He was then transported to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas where he was placed on life support.

It was revealed during a press conference Wednesday that Odom had taken cocaine and sexual supplements prior to being discovered.

Odom played 14 years in the NBA for four teams after being selected fourth overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in 1999. He found most of his success during his seven seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, winning two championships and Sixth Man of the Year honors in 2011.

Since leaving the league, Odom has dealt with accusations of drug abuse and going on cocaine binges with hookers. He was arrested in 2013 on suspicion of driving under the influence.
