VIDEO: Giannis Antetokounmpo flashes improved 3-point stroke in international play
It's frightening to think what Giannis Antetokounmpo could do with a workable 3-point shot.
The Milwaukee Bucks' 6-foot-11, tentacle-limbed, positionally ambiguous 20-year-old prodigy made major strides (figurative and literal) in his sophomore season, showcasing an evolving understanding of both the game and his own unique capabilities. He finished the season ranked second on the Bucks in points per game (12.7), with a very respectable 55.2 true shooting percentage, and he managed all that while knocking down just 15.9 percent of his 3-point attempts.
Like most of the NBA, though, Antetokounmpo appears to be taking steps to develop that facet of his game. Playing in an international exhibition for Greece in preparation for next month's EuroBasket tournament, he nailed 3-of-6 from beyond the arc, including a pull-up off the dribble from above the break.
He also threw in a bunch of familiar stuff, including some insane chasedown blocks.
