LeBron becomes 1st to lead both finals teams in points, rebounds, and assists

Bob Donnan-USA TODAY Sports

LeBron James came up short, unable to will his Cleveland Cavaliers past the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals, but he played a series the likes of which we've never seen before, and may never see again.

James averaged an obscene 35.8 points, 13.3 rebounds, and 8.8 assists in six games, becoming the first player in NBA history to lead both finals teams in points, rebounds, and assists.

LeBron left Game 6 for the bench with 10 seconds left Tuesday, shaking the hands of Stephen Curry and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr before he walked off to chants of "MVP! MVP!"

While James wasn't named finals MVP, losing out to Andre Iguodala, what he did in six games was remarkable, and can't be overlooked, despite what the haters will say and write in the coming days.

The Cavaliers came up short - LeBron didn't. We were all certainly witnesses.
