Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer announced that Thabo Sefolosha had surgery on his right leg on Thursday.
The guard went under the knife to repair a season-ending right fibula fracture and ligament damage on Thursday. The injury was sustained in an incident with the New York Police Department earlier in April.

"I think everything went well," Budenholzer told the media on Friday. "He is in very good hands. Now, the timeline for his recovery and all the steps along the way will be established. ... We feel good."
Sefolosha is reportedly expected to be ready for next season's first game, sources told RealGM's Shams Charania.
