The Dallas Mavericks will be without their leading scorer for the remainder of their bout against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday.

Shooting guard Monta Ellis sustained what looked to be a leg injury and did not return. After the game, Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle noted that Ellis has a right calf injury.

Ellis managed 10 points on 5-of-10 shooting in 23 minutes before leaving. He sustained the injury midway through the third quarter. He was seen on the sidelines receiving treatment on his knee before heading to the locker room.

Ellis has been the Mavericks' most consistent scoring threat this season, posting averages of 19.3 points and 4.2 assists per game while taking on a significant share of ball-handling and playmaking responsibilities.
