Miami Heat (32-38) at Boston Celtics (31-39), 7:30 p.m. (ET)

(SportsNetwork.com) - There will be a playoff atmosphere at TD Garden Wednesday night between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat.

The Heat are seventh in the Eastern Conference - one game ahead of Boston - and the Celtics sit eighth with a half-game lead on Charlotte and a one-game advantage over Indiana.

To make the East race even more cluttered, Brooklyn is 1 1/2 games behind.

Miami is 0-2 on a four-game road trip with losses at Oklahoma City and Milwaukee, and is winless in the past five games as the visitor. In Tuesday's 89-88 setback to the Bucks, Khris Middleton beat the buzzer on a 3-point attempt that completed a late 18-3 Milwaukee rally.

"They really started to impose the will of the game with their pressure and (by) really forcing us into some tough defensive possessions," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "That's sometimes how this game works, then things start to avalanche from there."

Dwyane Wade tallied 21 points in the loss, while Goran Dragic and Mario Chalmers scored 16 and 14, respectively, for the Heat, whose current slide comes on the heels of winning three in a row and seven of 10 games.

The Heat are 15-20 on the road and will close the trek Friday at Atlanta.

Miami center Hassan Whiteside (hand) is questionable Wednesday and is averaging 11.0 points and 9.8 rebounds.

Boston ended a three-game slide its last time out in a 110-91 triumph against the Brooklyn Nets Monday at Barclays Center.

Evan Turner finished with 19 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds for his second career triple-double and Avery Bradley led the Celtics with 20 points. Tyler Zeller and Kelly Olynyk each scored 18 points for Boston, which won for the eighth time in the last 12 tries.

"(Turner) knows how to play and every night he fills the boxscore," Boston coach Brad Stevens said

Stevens' squad led by double digits for most of the fourth and was never threatened down the stretch. The Celtics shot 51.1 percent from the floor, limiting the Nets to 36 percent shooting.

The Celtics are 18-17 at TD Garden and will visit New York Friday.

Miami is 2-1 against Boston this season and has prevailed in eight of the past 12 games in this series. Miami is only 17-33 all-time in Beantown.
