Luol Deng has a sore calf, will not play Tuesday

Chris Humphreys-USA TODAY Sports

The Miami Heat will be shorthanded when they take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, as small forward Luol Deng will sit out due to a sore calf, the Heat announced.

Deng, who was absent from the Heat's morning shootaround, has only missed three of the Heat's 44 games to date.

He has quietly enjoyed a solid campaign, averaging 14.3 points, five rebounds and 1.9 assists in 32.7 minutes per game. The crafty veteran forward is shooting 49.6 percent overall, including 37.6 percent on 3-pointers.

Without Deng, the Heat turn to Danny Granger, who has appeared in just 23 games this season.
