Shumpert is believed to be very close to making his Cavaliers debut, and it could come as soon as Friday against the Hornets. If that's not the case, his next opportunities will be Sunday against Oklahoma City and Tuesday in Detroit. Once Shumpert is back, he figures to cut into J.R. Smith and Matthew Dellavedova's playing time and could even supplant Smith in the starting lineup.
