Lance Stephenson returns in Hornets' loss to Spurs

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

After missing 14 games with a sprained pelvis, Lance Stephenson returned to the Charlotte Hornets' lineup on Wednesday.

Stephenson, who was expected to play 15 minutes in his first game action in four weeks, scored eight points in 18 minutes to go with two assists and a rebound.

Stephenson shot 3-of-8 from the field and missed four of his six free throw attempts, as the Hornets saw their five-game winning streak end with a 98-93 loss to the San Antonio Spurs.

While Stephenson certainly can't be blamed for Wednesday's loss, the Hornets are now 6-20 with the mercurial guard in the lineup and 9-5 without him.
