Coach Byron Scott indicated after Sunday's loss to the Kings that he may consider resting Bryant for a game or two, Sam Amick of USA Today Sports reports.

Analysis:

Bryant has been one of the most inefficient players in the league this season and is shooting an atrocious 34.6 percent from the floor in the month of December. He's been especially bad in the Lakers' last two games, shooting a combined 11-of-45 from the floor with 12 turnovers. While the veteran isn't likely to push for rest, it would probably be in both his and the team's best interest, as his current level of play is virtually unacceptable for a player who attempts more than 22 shots per game.
