Analysis:

Shumpert avoided a serious injury to his finger earlier in the week but wasn't as lucky Friday, as he dislocated his left shoulder and had to be helped to the locker room just before halftime. An MRI on Saturday confirmed the diagnosis, and while surgery will not be necessary, Shumpert is looking at an extended absence. Tim Hardaway is the next man up at shooting guard for New York.
