Wizards' Pierce moves up NBA all-time scoring ladder

Washington Wizards forward Paul Pierce moved ahead of some illustrious basketball company Tuesday night against the Atlanta Hawks.

Pierce passed Los Angeles Lakers legend and NBA logo inspiration Jerry West for 17th all-time on the NBA's scoring list. 

Now an elder statesman of the league, the 37-year-old Pierce has averaged 21.2 points per game in his 17-year career with the Wizards, Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics. If he stays healthy, Pierce should pass No. 16 and 15 - Reggie Miller and Alex English - on the list this season.
