Lee said he's worked on his mid-range game in the offseason, including a remake of his jump shot, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. "I know I can shoot the ball," Lee said after Wednesday's practice. "All it was about was getting that confidence back after not shooting much last year… I'll be ready to take and make that shot when it's there now."

Analysis:

Lee said he focused on scoring in the paint last season because there were no shortage of jumpers taken by others on the roster. As a result, when Lee did take a mid-range jumper, his accuracy rate fell to 35.7 percent (on 98 shots). The previous season, he connected on 42.1 percent on 235 mid-range attempts. Lee will continue to be a scoring option in the paint -- he averaged 13.1 points in the paint last season -- but he feels the offensive changes implemented by new head coach Steve Kerr will create opportunities for him to shoot outside the paint.
