Tyreke Evans: Out 3-5 Weeks With Strained Hamstring

Evans is expected to miss 3-to-5 weeks with a strained right hamstring.

Analysis:

He suffered the injury playing pickup basketball last week and is rehabbing with the team's medical staff with the hope that he will be cleared to play before the season-opener. Last season he averaged 14.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and five assists in 28.2 minutes per game, but his play was very streaky and at times he was a difficult player to use in fantasy. This should offer John Salmons, Russ Smith, Austin Rivers and Jimmer Fredette more looks during training camp, but owners should only downgrade Evans very slightly, as he's not expected to miss much regular season action.
