VIDEO: Charles Barkley a bit wide with his first pitch at Wrigley

Kevin Jairaj / USA Today Sports

In a season that's produced some historically bad ceremonial first pitches, this offering from NBA Hall of Famer, analyst, icon, and non-role model Charles Barkley at Wrigley Field on Tuesday at least avoided infamy.

The Round Mound of Rebound may not have been throwing smoke, but neither was his pitch appalling enough to demand redemption. Last week, Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah's initial offering was so bad, he threw out the first and second pitches over on the south side.

Barkley also happens to look pretty good in pinstripes.
