Evans should be fully healthy for the start of training camp September 30, the Times-Picayune reports.

Analysis:

The Pelicans' wing needed off-season surgery on his right knee after being one of the healthiest players in New Orleans during the campaign, but general manager Dell Demps expects Evans and the rest of last year's banged up team to be 100 percent by the time camp starts. A reserve for the majority of last season, Evans struggled to adjust in his first year as a Pelican, but the former Rookie of the Year did thrive as a starter when given the opportunity. Regardless of whether Evans starts or plays with the second unit, he should see plenty of minutes and be productive in his second year in New Orleans.
