Clippers officially trade Jared Dudley to Bucks for Carlos Delfino, Miroslav Raduljica

The trade between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Milwaukee Bucks is official

The Clippers shipped out forward Jared Dudley and a 2017 lottery-protected first-round pick and received guard-forward Carlos Delfino, center Miroslav Raduljica and a 2015 second-round pick in return from the Bucks.

Essentially, the deal works out to a salary dump for the Clippers. Dudley was a huge disappointment in his first season as a Clipper, as he averaged just 6.9 points and 2.2 rebounds per game while connecting on 36 per cent of his three pointers. He was originally billed to be the starting forward on the Clippers' championship hopeful squad, but he eventually lost out to Matt Barnes.

Dudley is owed a little over $4.2 million over each of the next two seasons. Delfino, on the other hand, is owed just $3.2 million next year, and his $3.2-million figure for 2015-16 is fully unguaranteed. When healthy, Delfino is a decent three-point threat but he missed all of last season with a broken foot, and his status for 2014-15 is uncertain. Sam Amick of USA Today notes that Delfino may be waived using the stretch provision.

The shedding of Dudley also helps clear up the Clippers' cap situation, paving the way for them to use their mid-level exception in 2015-16 if they waive some contracts off their books.

The Bucks, in return, net a first-rounder and lose little by way of assets. Raduljica averaged just 3.8 points and 2.3 rebounds per game last season, though he holds some potential as a paint bruiser.
