Love to Cavaliers in 3-team deal with Timberwolves, 76ers

The blockbuster deal involving the Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers came to fruition following a trade call on Saturday.

The Cavaliers, Timberwolves, and 76ers each announced the deals on their Twitter accounts.

While the trade involves six players and one draft pick, the focal point of the swap involves three-time All-Star Kevin Love joining LeBron James and the remodeled Cavaliers in exchange for the last two first-overall selections in the NBA Draft, Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett, heading to Minnesota.

A deal had reportedly been in place for some time, but could not be made official until Saturday at 12:01 EDT due to a 30-day freeze following Wiggins signing his rookie deal.

Love's contract expires following the conclusion of the season but the 25-year-old is expected to sign a five-year, $120-million extension with the Cavaliers. He will wear number 0 in Cleveland, as per a press release
