Golden State Warriors big man Marreese Speights was arrested early Tuesday morning in Florida, in the hours following his 27th birthday, for driving under the influence.

Speights submitted two breathalyzer tests, which resulted in breath alcohol contents of .103 and .106. The legal limit is .08. The arrest occurred at 3:31 a.m. ET after he was pulled over and the officer at the scene detected indicators of impairment, according to the Bay Area News Group.

Speights was released on $500 bond at 11:47 a.m. ET.

Speights averaged 6.4 points and 3.7 rebounds in 79 games with the Warriors last season after signing a three-year contract worth just under $11 million with Golden State last summer.

It`s not the first time this week that an NBA player has been in the news for a DUI offense, as on Monday Suns forward P.J. Tucker plead guilty to a super extreme DUI charge stemming from May. Tucker will serve three days in jail and 11 days in home detention.
