With unnecessary speculation set to pick up two years in advance of Kevin Durant becoming a free agent, the hot topic on Tuesday at USA Basketball camp was whether Durant would consider a move "home" to Washington.

The obvious comparison there is how LeBron James just "returned home" to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Durant has never played for the Wizards, obviously, but the draw to D.C. would be obvious.

As for James' decision itself, Durant was very complimentary of his primary competition for MVP awards every season.

Here's Durant on James' return to Cleveland, via a series of tweets from ESPN's Ramona Shelburne:

I thought it was well-thought out. It was classy. He thought about the city where he comes from, about Northeast Ohio and how he can affect so many kids just being there playing basketball.

And here's more, via Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports:

It's bigger than basketball, and I love that. I love that. So many guys get criticized for making a decision that is best for them instead of what's best for everybody else. And he's a guy who did that. I applauded him.

Draw your own conclusions from those comments, but also keep in mind Durant was just answering questions from reporters, not working a monologue.
