Derrick Rose on the doubters: 'It's gonna be funny seeing them eat their words'

Derrick Rose has only played a total of 49 games over the past three seasons due to a torn left ACL as well as a torn right meniscus, leaving many to wonder whether or not he can return to his 2010-11 MVP form.

But while speaking at the unveiling of his adidas D Rose 5 shoe on Sunday, Rose delivered a message to all those who doubt his ability to bounce back from the two surgery-requiring injuries.

Rose, who stated over one month ago that he could play if the season started today, will begin practicing with Team USA on Monday as the squad prepares for the upcoming FIBA World Cup in Spain. He's reportedly on track to take part in the tournament and coach Mike Krzyzewski recently said that there are no restrictions on his game.

At the 2010 FIBA World Championship, Rose was Team USA's starting point guard.
