Kirk Hinrich is staying with the Chicago Bulls, because it's where he belongs, and it's his destiny. He's also just a quality reserve guard who knows the franchise, the team and the systems of coach Tom Thibodeau well, making a return to the Windy City a great move for both sides.

While terms of the deal are not yet known, NBA.com is reporting that the agreement is completed and signed.

A savvy defender, Hinrich also helps spread the floor with a 37.7 percent career mark from long range. This past season, the 33-year-old averaged 9.1 points and 3.9 assists in 29 minutes, though with a healthy Derrick Rose his role could be scaled back some.

Hinrich has played 11 seasons in the NBA, all but two of them with the Bulls. Despite never averaging more than 16.6 points or 6.8 assists in any one season, the Kansas product ranks ninth in franchise scoring and fourth in assists. He's a Bull, forever and ever.
