Damian Lillard's adidas deal worth 'well over $100 million'

Jayne Kamin-Oncea / USA Today Sports

It didn't take long for the news to get out that Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard's deal with adidas was worth a pretty penny.

Now, USA Today has revealed some of the details of the deal, courtesy of Lillard's agent, Aaron Goodwin.

According to Goodwin, the deal could be worth "well over $100 million" with "very-reachable" incentives. Lillard is also expected to receive a signature shoe and apparel.

More from Goodwin:

I can say that I understand people who question the deal – most of them haven't done deals of this magnitude so they don't understand it. But at the end of the day the deal could be well over $100 million, and I don't have any problem saying that and Adidas wouldn't doubt that. Is it $100 million guaranteed? No, it's not. Is there an easy opportunity for that to happen? Absolutely.

Is (the deal) a game-changer? Nah, I don't think it's game-changer…Will players ask for more now? I'm sure that's going on with Adidas, Nike, the other companies, right now. Will they get them? I completely doubt it.

The Blazers are on the brink of being eliminated in the second round of the postseason at the hands of the San Antonio Spurs, but either way, Lillard has come out a big winner this season.
