Nuggets GM says team will look to acquire 'impact piece' this summer

The Denver Nuggets had a disappointing season, finishing below .500 this year.

Genral manager he team's front office doesn't want to see that happen again next season, and they're prepared to do something about it.

This from The Denver Post:

"It's huge," Connelly said of this offseason. "We came here with pretty high expectations and certainly didn't meet our internal goals. This summer, we're going to go all-in and try to take the next step."

By "all-in," Connelly means this: "I've already let all the other guys in different front offices around the league know that we're open for business. ... If you really study our team, we have a lot of flexibility."

Javale McGee and Kenneth Faried have both seen their names flaunted about in trade rumors.

Moving McGee would likely be a win regardless of the return. He's owned $11.25 million next season, and $12 million the year after that.
