Deron Williams has career-worst night in Nets' Game 2 loss

The Brooklyn Nets dropped Game 2 to the Miami Heat on Thursday night, falling behind 2-0 in their best-of-seven series.

The team's supposed superstar, Deron Williams, certainly didn't answer the call to step up in this one, enjoying one of the worst nights of his career instead.

Williams shot 0-of-9 from the floor, 0-of-2 on threes and failed to get to the charity stripe, finishing with zero points, seven rebounds and six assists. What's worse, the Nets were -18 in the 37 minutes Williams played and +6 in the 11 minutes during which Williams was on the bench.

His shot chart was a straight-edge masterpiece.

It's actually just the third scoreless game of Williams' entire career, his first since 2006 and the most field goals he's ever taken in a game without hitting from the floor.

While Williams has been derided some for failing to live up to his contract - he averaged 14.3 points and 6.1 rebounds this season while earning $18.5 million - he entered play Thursday having been solid through eight playoff outings.
