Darren Collison: Headed Back To Backup Role
Collison's days as the starting point guard for the Clippers will come to an end Sunday, barring a setback for Chris Paul (shoulder), the Clippers' official site reports.
Analysis:
Paul had a good practice Saturday, and the Clippers plan on playing him Sunday against the Sixers. This is a big blow to Collison's fantasy value, but owners had to know it was inevitable. In 34 games as a backup this season, Collison averaged 8.3 points and 2.1 assists, versus 13.4 points and 6.3 assists in 19 games as a starter.
