Heat's Luke Babbitt: Only to be used in emergency Wednesday

Babbitt (hip) will dress for Wednesday's game against the Wizards, but is only expected to see the floor in an emergency, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

Analysis:

Babbitt was apparently present for the Heat's morning shootaround, but he's still not fully over the right hip strain and looks bound to miss his fifth straight game as the regular season draws to a close. The Heat will need some help if they are to make the postseason, so it's possible we've seen the last of Babbitt in 2016-17. He's averaged 4.8 points (on 40.2% shooting), 2.1 rebounds and 1.3 three-pointers in 15.7 minutes per game over his 68 appearances.
