Nuggets' Danilo Gallinari: Scores season-high 34 in Sunday's loss

Gallinari scored 34 points (12-20 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 6-6 FT) while adding 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals in 38 minutes during Sunday's 106-105 loss to the Thunder.

Analysis:

The 28-year-old Italian set a new season high for scoring, but his big effort was overshadowed by Russell Westbrook setting a new NBA record for triple-doubles in a season opposite him. Gallinari's inability to stay healthy remains an issue -- he'll fail to play at least 70 games in 2016-17 for the third straight season -- but when he's on the court he's proven to be an effective scorer for the Nuggets.
