Nuggets' Will Barton: Will not play Friday

Barton (foot) won't play in Friday's game against the Pelicans, Nick Kosmider of The Denver Post reports.

Analysis:

It's Barton's fourth straight absence due to the sore left foot. The Nuggets are evaluating Barton on a day-to-day basis, so if he's able to get in a practice Saturday, he'll have a decent chance at returning to action Sunday against the Thunder. Wilson Chandler, Jamal Murray and Emmanuel Mudiay will continue to benefit from enhanced roles in the Nuggets rotation for as long as Barton remains sidelined.
