Dario Saric, Buddy Hield named Rookies of the Month
Philadelphia 76ers power forward Dario Saric and Sacramento Kings shooting guard Buddy Hield have been named the NBA Rookies of the Month for games played in March.
Saric registered 18 points, seven rebounds, and three assists in 32 minutes per game over 17 games last month. His best performance came March 24, when he led the Sixers with a career-best 32 points in a 117-107 victory in Chicago.
It's the second straight time Saric has taken home Rookie of the Month honors, while his teammate Joel Embiid earned the nod the first three months of the season. They're the first teammates to be named ROM multiple times in the same campaign.
This is also the second time Hield's received the award, having won in December as a member of the New Orleans Pelicans. He headlined the package the Kings received for star DeMarcus Cousins in a Feb. 19 trade. Hield averaged 14.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 16 games in his first full month in Sacramento.
