Pacers' Rodney Stuckey: Waived by Pacers

Stuckey (knee) will be waived by the Pacers on Wednesday, Shams Charania of The Vertical reports.

Analysis:

Indiana had until April 10 to release Stuckey before his option for next season would have kicked in, and the team will take the opportunity to not only save some money, but also to potentially add a player to the roster for the final couple weeks of the regular season. Stuckey, who is working back from a patellar strain, will now focus on rehabbing in hopes of landing a new contract this offseason. The 30-year-old will conclude the season having appeared in only 39 games, posting averages of 7.2 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.
