Kings' Malachi Richardson: Could possibly play Wednesday

Coach Dave Joerger said that Richardson (hamstring) might be able to play Wednesday against the Bucks, Matt Kawahara of the Sacramento Bee reports. "We'll see if he can go [Wednesday]," Joerger said. "If not, maybe this weekend. But we haven't really put a time on it."

Analysis:

Richardson, who has been sidelined since Feb. 15 with a partially torn right hamstring, was able to get in some practice time in recent days, but with Joerger indicating that the rookie is still "a little bit sore," it wouldn't be surprising if the team gave Richardson more time off to recover. Though he's one of the few backcourt players the Kings are committed to beyond this season, the organization may want to take a cautious approach with Richardson's usage over the team's final 12 games, so he may not be in line for major minutes.
