Clippers' Blake Griffin: Has light stat line in blowout

Griffin scored 12 points (2-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-8 FT) to go along with eight assists and three rebounds over 26 minutes in Tuesday's 133-109 win over the Lakers.

Analysis:

With the Clippers winning 70-40 at the half, the starting five spent significant time on the bench in the second half, and were it not for Griffin's shots at the charity stripe, his output would be virtually nonexistent. With a team like the Clippers, blowouts can sometimes be anticipated, but it's difficult to gauge who will end up with less production. In this game, Chris Paul put up great numbers, but Griffin was not as lucky. Owners expecting a big night were certainly disappointed, but it shouldn't be enough to doubt his ability to post big numbers in all formats.
