The Los Angeles Lakers' lackluster effort on Wednesday night did not go unnoticed by at least one of the team's veterans.

After watching Los Angeles get blown out by his former team, Corey Brewer called out the Lakers' youngsters, suggesting that they won't be in the league for long if they can't handle adversity.

"If they don't learn it, they won't be in the league long," Brewer told Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times. "It's all a learning experience. There's always new guys coming into take your position."

The Lakers recently shut down Timofey Mozgov and Luol Deng for the remainder of the season in order to give the team's young core more court time. The results were far from encouraging on Wednesday, as Los Angeles surrendered 139 points to the Houston Rockets.

"We're young. We're young. We don't know what it takes yet," Brewer said. "I've been in it for a long time, we don't what it takes. No matter what's happening, in an NBA game, you can get back in it. I've been down 25, 30 points and got back in games and won games like that. You gotta understand you always have a chance if you're playing hard and doing the right things."

Brewer finished the contest four points, three rebounds, two steals, and an assist in the 139-110 defeat.
