Raptors' DeMarre Carroll: Ruled out Wednesday vs. Pelicans

Carroll (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's matchup with the Pelicans, Raptors radio play-by-play announcer Eric Smith reports.

Analysis:

Carroll wasn't able to practice on Monday or Tuesday, so the writing was on the wall that he wasn't going to be able to give it a go. His next opportunity to play will be Friday against the Hawks, but for the duration of Carroll's absence, Norman Powell and P.J. Tucker should see additional minutes. That said, the Raptors have yet to announce who will start in Carroll's place.
