Spurs' LaMarcus Aldridge: Post second straight double-double Saturday
Aldridge provided 18 points (8-24 FG, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal across 44 minutes in Saturday's 97-90 overtime victory over the Timberwolves.
Analysis:
Aldridge tied Kawhi Leonard for most playing time on the Spurs, marking his second straight night with 40 more more minutes with San Antonio pulling out another overtime win. While Aldridge saw his accuracy from the field take a hit compared to the 10-of-19 mark he delivered Friday against the Pelicans, he attacked the glass hard to pick up his second double-double in as many games. The Spurs have another back-to-back set looming Wednesday and Thursday, so it's possible that coach Gregg Popovich could look to give the veteran big man a breather in one of those two contests.
