Pelicans' Jrue Holiday: Turns in 26-7-5 stat line Friday

Holiday submitted 26 points (12-27 FG, 2-6 3Pt), seven rebounds, five assists and one steal across 43 minutes in a 101-98 overtime loss to the Spurs on Friday.

Analysis:

Holiday's usage will more than likely be on the decline over the final month-plus of the season now that DeMarcus Cousins is in the fold for the Pelicans, but the point guard outpaced both Cousins and Anthony Davis in shot attempts by a wide margin Friday. He's now delivered 20-point efforts in each of the past two contests, but efficiency still looks to be an issue for the floor general. In five games since the All-Star break, Holiday is shooting 39.8 percent from the floor and is averaging a woeful 5.0 turnovers per contest.
