Mavericks' Seth Curry: Sets career-high with 31 in loss

Curry posted 31 points (13-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound, an assist and a steal across 37 minutes in Friday's 97-84 loss to the Timberwolves.

Analysis:

While the Mavericks' lack of assists in their box score might be one reason why they are losing, Seth Curry's deficiency in assists simply meant he was putting up the ball whenever he got the chance and was the only player besides Harrison Barnes to have success against the Wolves defense. While he will lose time when the Mavericks go bigger in their lineup to match their opponent, there's currently little need to worry that Curry won't post a good line regardless. Curry and the Mavs will face the new-look Pelicans on Saturday.
