Trail Blazers' Jusuf Nurkic: Crams the box score as starter

Nurkic started at center and scored 12 points (6-12 FG) while adding 12 rebounds, five assists, three steals and two blocks in 34 minutes during Thursday's 112-103 win over the Magic.

Analysis:

Nurkic has been a force in his first two games since being traded from the Nuggets. He is averaging 12.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.5 blocks in those two games. Nurkic struggled at the start of this season, and when healthy last season, but he flashed significant potential as a rookie in 2014-15. Now starting for an unimpressive Blazers' frontcourt, Nurkic has the opportunity to reinvent himself. After only two games, it is too soon to assume that he will continue this dogged pace, but he should be owned in all formats in case he can.
