Hawks' Lamar Patterson: Signs with Atlanta for rest of season
Patterson agreed to a multi-year contract with the Hawks on Thursday, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis:
The Hawks initially held off on retaining Patterson following the expiration of his second 10-day deal, but after the team had a roster opening once Thursday's trade deadline passed, he'll now remain with Atlanta for the rest of the season. Despite the job security, Patterson doesn't figure to challenge for a rotation spot with the Hawks, barring a string of injuries. He's made only four appearances with the club this season, averaging 2.3 points and 1.5 rebounds in 7.8 minutes per contest.
