Hornets' Cody Zeller: Remains out Thursday

Zeller (quad) won't play Thursday against the Pistons.

Analysis:

The hope was that Zeller would be able to return following the All-Star break, but the big man is still nursing soreness in his right quad and will sit out for the 11th time in the last 12 games. At this point, it's fair to wonder if Zeller is dealing with something more serious than the "soreness" label would imply, but the Hornets have yet to provide much in the way of details. With Miles Plumlee (calf) also out Thursday, expect Frank Kaminsky to see a heavy workload as the team's starting center.
