Rockets' Patrick Beverley: Leaves Wednesday's game with groin strain

Beverley suffered a strained left groin muscle during the first half of Wednesday's game against the Heat and won't return, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Analysis:

Before going down with the injury, Beverley finished Wednesday's game with seven points (2-5 FG, 3-4 FT), two assists and a turnover across 13 minutes. It's tentatively being labeled a strained groin, but Beverley will likely have additional tests performed after the game. That said, the injury comes at a good time for the Rockets, as they're heading into the All-Star break and don't play until a Feb. 23 matchup against the Pelicans, which gives Beverley a little over a week to make a full recovery.
