Suns' Booker drops 27 in 2nd quarter vs. Bucks

Jennifer Stewart / USA TODAY Sports

When Devin Booker gets rolling, he has a penchant for scoring in outrageous bunches.

Having already poured in a franchise-record 29 points in a quarter last month, the Phoenix Suns shooting guard dropped 27 in the span of seven minutes during a near-perfect second frame Saturday night against the Milwaukee Bucks.

After being held scoreless in the opening quarter and the first five minutes of the second as the Bucks ran out to a 25-point lead, Booker suddenly got electroshocked back to life, burying a barrage of increasingly ridiculous triples to pull the Suns to within eight by halftime.

His final shooting line for the second quarter: 9-of-10 from the field, 5-of-5 from 3-point range, and 4-of-4 from the free-throw line.

Not bad.
