Curry doesn't care about being 4th-highest paid Warrior

As Biggie Smalls once said, "Mo Money Mo Problems." Well, that doesn't exactly apply here, but Stephen Curry did point out this weekend that he has no issue with being the fourth-highest paid player on the Golden State Warriors.

"One thing my pops always told me is you never count another man's money," Curry told The Bay Area News Group's Tim Kawakami. "It's what you've got and how you take care of it. And if I'm complaining about $44 million over four years, then I've got other issues in my life."

Thanks to ankle issues earlier in his career, Curry is in the final year of a bargain contract, signed in 2012, that will pay him $12.1 million this season. As a result, teammates Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green all currently make more money than the two-time NBA MVP.

"Currently" is the operative term, however. Thanks to the league's new collective bargaining agreement, certain veteran stars who have spent their entire careers with one team - like Curry - will be eligible for so-called "supermax" contracts in the vicinity of $207 million over five years, according to reports.
