Kings' Rudy Gay: Will start Friday

Gay (hip) is listed in the starting lineup at small forward for Friday's game against the Clippers, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports.

Analysis:

After completing the Kings' morning shootaround, Gay was upgraded to probable Friday, and his inclusion in the lineup ensures that he'll be back on the court after sitting out 10 of the team's previous 11 games with a strained hip. There hasn't been any indication that Gay will face a minutes cap Friday, but coach Dave Joerger could see how the forward performs throughout the first quarter before deciding how much to play him thereafter.
