Pelicans' Holiday, Moore out Monday with toe injuries

Holiday will be held out of Monday's game against the Grizzlies due to turf toe.

Moore is dealing with a toe contusion and will sit out Monday's game, Justin Verrier of ESPN.com reports.

Analysis:

Holiday will miss his first game since returning to action on Nov. 18 following a family medical issue. It's unclear exactly when he developed the turf toe issue, though he's struggled in each of the Pelicans' last two games, scoring 9 and 10 points, respectively, while shooting a combined 8-of-24 from the field.

Moore recently jumped back into the starting lineup Sunday, logging 10 points (5-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt), two rebounds and two assists over 23 minutes. However, he appears to have hurt his toe during that outing and will now sit out Monday to undergo additional rehabilitation.

Look for Tim Frazier and Buddy Hield to likely start in the backcourt, with Langston Galloway also receiving increased playing time off the bench.
