Hornets' Jeremy Lamb: Scores 12 off bench

Lamb scored 12 points (3-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 5-5 FT) and added six rebounds, two assists, and one block in 19 minutes during Thursday's 97-87 win over the Mavericks.

Analysis:

Lamb exited Tuesday's game early with a knee contusion, but was able not to miss any games. Lamb has already missed a lot of games due to a hamstring injury, but he has played well when active. In the four games that he has played more than 15 minutes, he is averaging 16.8 points and 10.0 rebounds. Both of those figures are significantly better than anything he has shown in his first four seasons in the league, and the high rebounds rate seems particularly unsustainable. That said, he is making a strong case for maintaining a significant role in the rotation, and at only 24 years old, it is very possible that his game is still improving.
